Tanjung Kapal Services Sdn. Bhd. (TKS) was incorporated on 17 September 1994 under the Company's Act 1965.
Beginning January 2005 TKS started its recruitment of personnel to develop its International Safety Management (ISM) certification and also to manage the construction of the company's vessels at Muhibbah Marine Engineering (MME) Shipyard, Port Kelang and MSET Shipbuilding Shipyard, Kuala Terengganu.
In accordance with ISM requirements, the company obtained its Interim Document of Compliance (DOC) Certification from the Malaysian Marine Department in 2005 and a full DOC in April 2006. Simultaneously TKS also obtained the Safety Management Certificates (SMC) for its vessels from the American Bureau of Shipping in 2006. |

Tanjung Kapal
Services Sdn. Bhd. (TKS) is a wholly-owned subsidiary
of Tanjung Offshore Berhad (TOB). It is the shipping
arm of the Group and its principal activities are to
provide offshore support vessels and related marine
services to the oil and gas industry. Tanjung Kapal
activities can be categorized as follows:-
- Vessel Ownership.
- Ship Management and Operation.
- Shipping and Forwarding Agent.
- Vessel Chartering and Shipbroking.
- Marine Services Consultancy.
In line with Tanjung Group's aim to become a premier
integrated service provider in the Oil and Gas industry,
including the marine support vessels services, a fleet
expansion program initiated end 2004 saw a dramatic
increase in the number of vessels in Tanjung’s fleet.
